Equinox Garden Box Build 2026
A Sebastopol Grange + Kiwanis Club of Sebastopol + Sebastopol Gravenstein Lions Club Service Project
April 12, 2026 11am – 3pm at The Sebastopol Grange
Due to the success of last year’s Equinox Garden Box Build, we are doing it again! Come join members of the Sebastopol Grange, the Kiwanis Club of Sebastopol, and the Sebastopol Gravenstein Lions Club for a hands-on garden box building day at the Grange.
Our goal is to entice new gardeners and provide them with the resources they need to start their spring gardens. This service project is another way for members of the community to come together to work toward growing more local food and providing habitat for pollinators. All ages and skill levels are invited with a focus on facilitating youth and elders working together. Come join us as we build garden boxes and a stronger community.
Ways to participate:

Help with pre-event tasks (we will contact you with tasks needed)

Receive a garden box for growing more food. Pay what you can (online or cash day-of). You must check in during the building event to receive a box, delivery can be arranged.

Help build boxes on April 12, 11am-3pm. Led by Jim Deis

Sponsor a box for someone in our community. (Average box cost is $150)

Donate money or materials. We need redwood (used fencing works well) and 2”-5” star screws.

Deliver boxes with your truck during the event.

Bring a labeled potluck dish or drink to share on the day of the build.
